Here, dear reader, is a little snapshot into the rock and roll lifestyle enjoyed by all of us at Be Bold.
For those of you not in the know (where have you been darlings???) the Met Gala is the annual fundraising gala for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York.
It brings together the worlds of fashion, film and celebrity in one night of unimaginable glamour and red carpet excess. If glitz, flamboyance and extravagance is your thing, then this is the place for you.
Except, you have to be the most A-list of the A-list to even be considered for an invitation, let alone receive one. Hence, poor old Team Be Bold had to be content with viewing the likes of Lady Gaga, Kim Kardashian, Sienna Miller, Emily Blunt and even dear old Harry Styles strutting their stuff down the catwalk runway from the somewhat less exotic comfort of our own sofas.
The reason for our particular interest this year (a natural fascination with all things fashion apart) rests right here in Shropshire.
For one of the dresses being worn at this pinnacle of style was partly the work of award-winning digital manufacturer Protolabs, which has its European head office in Telford and is among our growing portfolio of clients.
Protolabs teamed up with GE Additive and world-renowned designer Zac Posen to showcase a range of 3D printed sculptural garments and accessories at fashion’s ‘biggest night out’.
Stunning isn’t it?
And so was the coverage we managed to obtain for Protolabs.
The dress featured in the Daily Mail’s round up of the best frocks of the night, in the Independent and on fashion magazine sites the length and breadth of the continent as well as the trade and sector press.
Not a bad night’s work considering we were 3,300 miles away from the heart of the action.
Who knows, perhaps next year we might even get an invite to the gala itself?
