Twitter has published a map of how the world reacted when the name of the new royal baby, Princess Charlotte, was revealed yesterday. It’s fascinating in more ways than one.
First and foremost, to see the way an announcement like that zips around the world on Twitter (and no doubt plenty of other instantaneous platforms) is something to behold when it’s properly visualised.
Also, though, it would appear to be a pretty clear sign of the world’s continuing fascination with our Royal Family.
Whatever you might think of them, how they behave, how they are funded and the attention that follows them around, it’s hard to deny that they keep this little country on the map – in this case, literally!
